The marketing team promoting TPC Cartagena at Karibana has no shortage of impressive distinctions when describing this amazing golf course. To name a few:
- It’s the only Tournament Players Club in South America.
- The course is a Nicklaus Design project.
- Plenty of the course runs along the stunning Caribbean Sea.
Opened in 2012, TPC Cartagena at Karibana features Platinum TE Paspalum greens. As a resort course, its design offers forgiving ingredients such as wide fairways for the casual golfer but also poses a challenge for experienced players. TPC Cartagena has earned championship status as host to the Web.com Tour and the Colombian Open.
The layout gives golfers two very different experiences through the course of 18 holes. The front nine of the property is mostly inland and situated alongside the jungle. Players encounter shorter holes but plenty of water moving to the back nine. In addition to its amazing stretch of golf beside the aquamarine sea – with the 16th hole entirely along the Caribbean, there is also an abundance of man-made lakes to enhance the serene environment and up the challenge.
